Peanut butter is a godsend for getting rid of mice. I caught two last year with it.

Re: Good afternoon Sherri

Well my brother cooks the meals and we rarely have potatoes because he says they are fattening. Anyway I am going to grow some this year and see if he can resist a nice baked one.

Re: Taps

Well it works but would you like to watch the wasps struggling to stop from

drowning also of course more wasps would keep visiting. I don't suppose you have

a garden but I hang bags of straw which imitate a wasp nest. Queen wasps like to

keep away from other wasp nests. Of course everything is a bit cruel but I have

found the quickest way is to catch the wasps nest early and sprinkle a safe

insecticide powder into the entrance of the nest this kills the queen and saves

having to dealwith all the potential offspring. One has to be careful doing this

preferably in the evening , not for genteel ladies. Once I made the mistake of

attacking a visible nest in the day time and whoosh out they came in a swarm. Of

course a wasp can sting several times whereas a bee's stinger is ripped from its

body and I assume it dies. I suppose if one does not like using insecticides a

bucket of boiling hot water would serve at dusk one just needs to kill the Queen.

Life is cruel at times and wasps do quite good things in a garden eating small caterpillars and greenfly.

Re: Kabu

Oh! dear Kabu I don't like watching a cat playing with a mouse, I think I am mouse

hearted. I would have to knock it on the head. The mouse I mean. Of course the cat

just thinks it is a plaything you cannot blame the little chap. A quick way is to bite

 the mouse's head off.

hey you...staying well I hope. I like to catch a mouse in a trap and take it away from here and release. Graysome has other ideas. He won't eat, but play with it until its little heart gives out. Then brings to Jim as a gift.

CCT

Son was just telling me today how to take care of the wasps that are already beginning to gather.  It had to do with a large Coke bottle with a little bit of coke still in it and told me to sit it out on the porch.  He said to make the rim so they could get in but not out.  You know anything about that?

What an excellent deterrent.

Good afternoon

That is a great deterrent for those little guys. They do love their peanut butter. As for the vegetables, we eat quite a bit of broccoli and potatoes. I for one could eat potatoes every day.
