I hear you, TAPS. Ice can be treacherous, and we don't heal as quickly

after a fall. It actually is the best time to curl up in a cozy chair with a good book.

And wine, Annicita! Haha!

I didn't mind driving on winter roads once upon a time, but as I get older I would rather not!

When power goes off here it is usually for a day or two at least.

However, I live in a bush on the side of a mountain, so it is to be expected. Most of us living out here have generators and wood stoves for heat. It is actually kind of peaceful!

Oh my - not quite the same lasting snow as up here for sure!

In fact, it is still mostly snow surrounding my house, although people in town are walking around in sandals. Canada is missing our adopted Aussie girl too!

It does, Sherri, and we need it here for our Maple Syrup industry.

It is no secret that I prefer winter, but now that spring has arrived, she will be welcomed!

I'm beginning to think any day is good for avoiding news, FSI.

If they would only print as much good news as bad, it would be more pleasant!!

Our snow is melting fast right now, Pat B. In fact it is 24C here today.

That snow/ice storm knocked out our electric  power for 3 days. I appreciated the new push-button start generator!! And my first flock of Canadian geese showed up this week, so I guess winter really is over.

It is good to read you and keep up with what you are doing.  I am, though, very glad that we have not had eight inches of snow.  I don't go out anymore when there is snow melting and refreezing.  I do not like slick under foot.

Good to hear you got provisions before the storm hit.

Good Evening

We lost power, internet, phone, and television yesterday morning but the power returned in a couple hours.  We just got the internet, telephone, and television back on a little while ago.  It was much too long for my grandson Caeser.  I love freshly fallen snow.  It's beautiful.  I'm so glad you get to spend time with your family.  Stay warm.

Good afternoon

My part of Pennsylvania was amiss of snow this year. This is a bit disconcerting considering that we normally have a healthy amount of snow. Today it is sunny with a temperature of 60. I am not a fan of snow, but the deep freeze helps with the spring buds. Have a great day, and stay warm!

We haven't had any snow where I'm at, a winter that never was. Oh, yes, it is best to avoid the news these days.

I'm smiling - what a way to start the day, reading your post

and thanking my lucky stars that 8" of snow came to your neck of the woods and not my own. It is supposed to be fair and warm here today. Yay!
