Seems about right these days. Promises, promises. One has to just buckle down and

The Work not getting finished with the tunnel is way more frustrating than my kitchen. I feel for you and Dad over this and hope it is soon active and working properly.

I am crossing my fingers that the stars line up and give your business that promised opening day. I can understand your dad's frustration. Business is business, and when it it is your livliehood and means of support, it is important that things flow as they should without copromise.
