My Dad loved everything about Astronomy and shared with his seven children. But, I don't remember him ever talking about Black Holes. I remember David Finklestein talking about such about 1958, but by that time I was married and probably my Dad was sharing that with my younger brother and sisters.

I've always been interested in this subject and it is great to see that someone is posting about it here on Blogit. Just curious, are black holes big enough to suck the whole Earth into it if it got too close?
