Re: Good morning Sherri

One has to buy winter cabbage, I think the Winters have been mild and growers have

not bothered with the tougher old winter varieties. It would be great to know if

anyone reads replies, it would save. Perhaps I'll ask again one day.

RePat

Pat our thermometers usually show both, so no problem. Yes it is a bit chilly in this room as I send this. A cup of tea, I think. Take care.

Re: Kabu

Kabu it is soon over, but I think folk are trying hard to make it happen. We are getting loads of immigrants each day. I did see that Canada will accept UK citizens how funny.

Re: Taps

I think we have one more day's cold wind coming from the Arctic and than hurray rain. Funnily enough in some counties water shortage is still apparent.

Anything below freezing is too cold for me, but I usually adapt with a lot of blanket and cold-weather gear.  They say on the news that we have some really cold weather coming.

I think this year my thoughts will go way back to when Mother and dad were alive and my boys were children. There were some wonderful family Christmases i times gone by.

I have a time working out the differences between Fahrenheit and

Celsius - I think in Canada the temps are still in Celsius. My way to sort any of it out is to realize that zero in C, is the equivalent of freezing - or 32 degrees F, or have I got that backwards?   What I know for sure is when chills run up and down my spine it's time to stay inside.

That is some cold weather there, my goodness...It does seem like there are times when we use up all our feelings.

Good morning

Wow! That is cold. It's a bit chilly here in Pittsburgh, but nothing like what you have described. That's a shame that the cabbage was frozen, it would have been great turned into sauerkraut and added to a Reuben sandwich. Stay warm!
