We think once the storm passes... and I think it has gone by us now... we might be able to do some more painting this afternoon. The front of the house is almost done. The porch needs to be 're-assembled" as we had to take the floor off most of it to work under the house, but the paint is looking good. The place is about 103 years old but seems to be quite sturdy.
I'm hoping to post the first "public" pictures of the place since I bought it here very soon. I'm waiting to see if I need a permit to paint the roof. One lady at the county desk said I do, and the other said no. Keeping in mind the permit does nothing but generate $250 for the county to do nothing other than give me a piece of paper, I am hoping to avoid giving them money.
