I certainly don't do all of that anymore, and my loved ones certainly know that I still love them.  But it was fun when I used to go shopping and do wrapping and sending or taking and baking for all and decorating and such.  Memories for me.

oopsie!
Long years since lighting up a tree.
Seems a lot of bother just for little me.

No sparkling lights, no decorated tree, no pudding in a cloth; drying out in the kitchen. No gifts to each other just chocolates for families, wine for Australia and a bag of toys for the 3 little ones who live in Omaha. Cannot get all Christmassy withrenovations still dragging on.

Good afternoon

The anxiety always hits me in December. My mom's birthday is just five days before Christmas. Two of my brother-in-laws have birthdays right after Christmas, my sister-in-law's birthday is this month as is our nephew. There are too many birthdays, parties, and activities going on that it's hard to not get worked up. With the mail running slow this time of year, I try to send out birthday gifts before it's too late, but not so early that they receive them weeks ahead of their big day.
