Because i have always travelled i have two credit cards and both allow me to spend up to $22000 yes that is a lot but I never ever have used either for more than I am willing to pay off before the due date so never pay interest. I let them stay at that amount just in case I had an emergency say a night in a hospital or something.

Re: Pat B,
Come January, I will be using some of the funds that will be available then to pay off all the credit cards down to 0 balances. Makes me happy, just thinking of it!

Credit card debt makes me very uncomfortable. A) it's excessively
high and completely wipes out any savings you may have gotten by buying something on sale, and 2) the balance "never" goes away. Enjoy your new freedom!
