Re: FSI

The only things I really use consistantly so far are the grabbers.  They are so handy and helpful.  I keep the walker handy just in case I might need it.   I Get up and down a lot when sitting, walk in place, use the stairs a couple of times every day and do range of motion exercises.

I see you have a fair amount of contraptions from others.

My dad has a terrible tendency to sit for too long and can barely move. With his AS Disease, I wish he'd get up more.

I try to keep moving, once one sits for a long time it makes one stiff. Better to stay inside if it is slippery.

You were wise to get the walking stick and walker out in case you need them. And do take care in the icy weather. That is very dangerous.

Good afternoon

It's better to be safe than sorry. Steps are the absolute worst, especially ones that are icy. I am really good at falling down them, with or without ice. If I stand too long in the kitchen my lower back begins to hurt.
