Good morning
I was at a point where COVID was no longer a concern, but this recent crisis in China has me wondering if we are headed toward a new round of it.

To live in fear is a terible thing that totally ruins a person's life. There are many things a teacher should teach that would help the pupils to live a worthwhile life without fear.

That's a lousy way to address high schoolers. I think the guy was not of a good spirit. Caution can be taught in other ways.

i believe we have moved on but are very aware horrible things can happen anywhere any time. I really hurt every time there is a school shooting or indeed any shooting.

FSI, in my mind your teacher was mean-spirited. He could have shown the class reasons why they would have to be on their guard and I do believe since that time we are all more cautious but we still live life to the fullest.
