Perhaps Dad is too lenient at times and then loses it. It is tough handling personal and having too accept such incidents.

I have this feeling that Dad is a wonderful employer and when he does "Go Off" it is with good reason and he has given a worker enough time to rememdy their problems. Personally I would want to please dad for he has seemed to me to be very fair.

Dad sounds like he will take something that bugs him and take and take it until he can't stand it and then - that's it. I think he has a soft spot for these two employees.
I would say something about this dropping of the ball so that it doesn't happen again.

Good morning
Your dad is a very tolerant man considering that this is his lifeline. I'd be looking for some new and more experienced employees who actually cared about whether they were costing their employee hundreds and thousands of dollars. Thes best of luck with these two characters.
