Mother nature doesn't care.When Darwin at the top of Australia was hit by a Cyclone in the '70's on Christmas day with resulting loss of life and housing, people asked why God allowed it. For me it has always been nature or God allows us the free will to do what we want. Like Florida, maybe these places shouldn't be inhabited.

One would have thought someone would have tried every means possible to cope
when in such a situation, fear of the Natives must have been one disadvantage.
