Oh my! Your dream kitchen has become your nightmare. I am so sorry. I hope you saved the contract and what you told them you wanted. You could take them to court and get at least some of your money back.

I suppose you did not know, Jim seems to be a bit too easy going. It was to be your
dream kitchen , but what the ....... its only a kitchen, I bet you would not swop it for
.mine. If you had kept your shares they would have lost half their value. You made both your sons love you a little more>

Kabu, the kitchen work is just not acceptable. I would make them put oak cabinets in and they would be taking their ash cabinets back. I just cannot believe that they are doing this to you. Thankfully you are remaining calm but it really is disheartening to go through this. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful fall picture.

I feel so sorry for you having to go through all of this and the disappointments you are having to endure. I can't even imagine why it is taking so long. Two of my nephews have recently bought, one a house and the other a condo, that need work done on them before they will move in. They are counting on the work being done before spring. I hope they will not have to go through big disappointments like you are.

Absolutely unacceptable!! Do you have a copy of a contract where this is all written? Is there such a thing a Small Claims Court there? I'm thinking this contractor is taking advantage of an elderly couple....and probably not the first time.

If you paid for oak, you should get oak. If you got ash, you should get a refund.
