Hope you were able to see those clever costumes even with winter garb

We will make a mechanic out of you yet. I suppose changing a tyre is a doddle.

Re: Sea Gypsy,

Yes, it is going to be even colder tonight and tomorrow, and snow maybe on Thursday.

Charlie has a long props list for another school show he's been hired for, so today we visited two big thrift stores. He hit the jackpot at the first one for a big Sorceror's Cup--the show is a take-off on 'Harry Potter.'

Enjoy your proper autumn while you have it!

Re: TAPS,

That's a wonderful arrangement to provide for the child/adults! I wonder if anyone around here does anything like that!

Re: Kabu,

You've had such a rough year, and not just a year--it isn't surprising you're feeling wrung out! You have to catch up with yourself, and you could probably use someone looking after you for a while!

Of course, you could just put the bowl outside and let the kids help themselves: It'll be gone in no time!

Jim has bought a mountain of treats for trick or treat so a reluctant me will be handing them out. Can't seem to get motivated to do anything much. I blame the renovations.

P.D. is helping Phil dress up and he is taking him to a place for special child-like adults like Phil.  It is a large parking lot where cars come and park and give treats out of their decorated trunks.  Phil loves stuff like that.  His favorite times is when he and his dad dress like Gilligan and The Captain.  I've already forgotten what he said they were going to dress as this year.  Isn't that pitiful.

Wow! It sure dropped down in temperature there. Here's hoping for a nice, calm day for you.

I have an electric fireplace - looks warmer than it is, but it gives a cozy

feeling on chilly mornings. It's in my "library" with bookshelves flanking it on either side. A 1927 Remington portable typewriter is on display - needs some adjustments to work, but it's difficult to find typewriter repairmen in the computer age. It would be no help at all in case of a power outage, but I'm crocheting a throw in case I need to pile on some warmth while I stare at the non-working TV when the lights go out.

Good Morning

I think today will be a good day to rest and maybe catch up on some reading.  Stay warm.
