It does feel like we're in for an early winter. From a business perspective, that can be a good thing, although I do wish we could've had more fall. We pretty much went from summer to winter.

Well what's a tile throw a couple of rugs down and forget it. Our kitchen has vinyl

but the trouble is we keep tramping mud in from the garden, I am sure it would,

enough said. One does not wake sleeping beauty with a wet mop.

I saw the pic on fb. It's a shame you can't get them to finish at least one project completely before they up and leave again for God knows how long. This has to be very stressful for you.

Good Morning

Kabu, I loved the picture you shared.  It's beautiful!  I was just thinking the other day that I wanted to do some fun things.  The world is too full of doom and gloom and I would like to see people smiling, laughing, and having a good time.  I do love looking at the colorful leaves and going for rides in the country.  Oh, and I like coffee, pumpkin pie with lots of whipped cream, and watching my soap opera "General Hospital".  All those things make me happy.  I found a new recipe using leftover mashed potatoes.  It said to add onions and flour and make patties and fry them up.  I might try them.

No, no news watching. I'm done. Have been done. It's all a cause for emotional overload. I have a new book to read. Diana Gabaldon, who wrote the Outlander series.has finished another one after 9 years.

What a lovely picture! So pretty. Thank you. Maybe you could order new tiles and they would arrive before they put the floor in that you don't like. The supply chain might be better now. Or look at Home Depot or Lowes and see what's in stock. It's worth a try. I hope your weather warms up. We are in for nasty weather here, but not this day. This weekend. Have a great rest of the day, dear lady!

Google's answer for your leaves not changing color:    But come the second week of October, temperatures went from the 80s and 90s to the 20s and 30s. That drop in temperature signaled to many green-leaf trees that they needed to start the process of abscission—and fast! Within a day, trees that were full and vibrant green shed their leaves out of fear that they wouldn’t have enough stored energy to sustain the winter. Your trees are doing what they always do - taking care off theselves.

When the hard freeze comes too soon, we've had trees go brown instead of colorful. But this year we have the colors!

What can I say?  I never was any good at interior decorating and seldom really liked what I ended up with, but.....  Thankful to have clean and comfy and warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and a yard.  I've always been thankful for a nice yard.

Good afternoon

There are so many great shows on right now. I have been caught up with the series Virgin River on Netflix. As for an Autumn walk, I plan to do just that this weekend wjhen it warms up.

Good afternoon

I completely understand. I am not a fan of black decor or furnishings at all. Black is too dark and dismal. It just might be pretty though if it is not overpowering. As for the weather today, Blah! Tomorrow offers a better day all the way around.

It's possible that you'll like the black & white once it's all in place.

Maybe you could take away the dark influence of the black patterns with a bright red planter or pottery cookie jar. Red & white checkered curtains. At least you won't have workers in your space with all that scraping and pounding.  Weird that your leaves didn't change color before they dropped. Hmmm.
