Good Afternoon

Kabu, thank you for sharing a small part of what it was like for you growing up.  It's funny how people cross our paths when we are growing up and we never forget them.

Re: Re: Kabu

Thank you very much. That was sweet of you, especially during this time. Yes, it was nice to remember the Sundays at my Italian grandma's house. Thanks again.

That was rough there with all the different illnesses you caught. My dad did have mumps and measles growing up. He wasn't a healty child, and because of that, in his case, the vaccinnes were held off.

Good morning

Beautiful. Not all people that we consider family share our DNA.

Sounds like we both had a lot of childhood illnesses. I know how that feels. And I'm glad the Italian man was so nice to you. Children are special gifts in our culture, though I'm only half Italian.

What a wonderfully interesting post.  I compared my list of illnesses with your and added chickenpox, measles, bad ear infections, tonsillitis, and my cousin had polio that left her with one thumb limp and unusable.  My Aunt kept her working at physical things for years or she would have been a lot worse off.
