Re: Good afternoon
A few years back when we were in the UP, just outside of Newberry, I saw a young bull that was crossing M-123 (the main cross-state road in the UP) get upset at a car that honked its horn at him as he was crossing the road. He stomped on the hood of the car, causing everyone behind him to back up and away.
The males are never really friendly, but in mating season (~roughly mid-September to late October) you just plain want to stay away from them!

Re: TAPS
When they have young, you are smart to go 90 degrees away from them!

Wow! I ran into a mama moose with two babies once in the mountains of Wyoming. I backed away very gingerly but quickly. I didn't like the way she was looking at me. I didn't even stop to take a picture.

Good afternoon
He is really cool. Nice shot! I will have to watch out for these guys next month when we drive up to Maine. I imagine that they could demolish a car.
