many of these women weren't mentioned for many years incase the rest of the world followed suit. My Mother was happy. We lived on a farm and she was out side with Dad as often and as much as she could be.

Re: Goldiec, more than likely they were not.

The men left behind during WWII due to health, being the only child, and other reasons probably had issues with women taking away a man's job.

Good Morning

Sherri, I loved this post.  I was thinking about this article and I've read articles about women during the war working to help the cause at home.  I wonder if they were appreciated?
