Good afternoon
I have been currently facing the same issue. I was debating on buying a new computer, but between my two technology smart daughters and the Microsoft help page, I have run the sfc /scannow that fixes corrupt files in the command prompt along with the Microsoft Safety Scanner. These two things allowed for the necessary updates. I have finally got my dinosaur desktop computer back to itself once again.

I so agree with you on this post. Same thing here. I loved my old phone From 8 years ago. it was an LG and the keys were like buttons. I never keyed in the wrong word like what happens with this one and it's predicto. I loved old Window. i don't find the newer versions better at all. Sigh.

Every time I have to get a new something or other, I hope it will last longer than I do, not because of the money but because I'm just tired of having to learn how to use the new device.

Well Kabu I have bought a windows 11 computer as you know the Windows 10 will
not be serviced in under two years. So you buy the new version and guess what your
old screen will not work with it. My brother bought a Chrome Book one does not have
to worry about anything on them for five years and the phoof. Best of it was the day
after he ordered it the price increased by £180. I suppose you pays yer money and
puts up with it. Do you know how many loaves one could have bought with £1 in
!946. No I expect you were a twinkle.

Good Afternoon
Kabu, I know just how you feel! The same thing happened to me with my phone and it was 4 years old. The way the salespeople acted you would have thought it was from the dark ages. They said the same thing would happen to my new phone in a few years. They had reasons, but I have no idea what they were talking about. I guess in a few years I will get another phone. When I purchased the phone I have now the sales guy couldn't believe that I didn't want a gaming phone. I told him I don't play games on my phone. He couldn't believe it. I guess it's a sign of the times.

It's terrible how that happens. They're creating so many unnecessary complications for us.

It's called planned obsolescence. They know when the new thing is
introduced they're going to let you use it just long enough to get cozy and then "upgrade" and buy the new, pricier thing. It's maddening.
