I suppose we all may be vaguely related if you have a wart on your big toe, I've proved my point. I feel sleepy I ought to reply more, I hope we don't get a hose pipe ban it is a job to keep the dahlias from drooping.

Right now, my family is in boy mode...On my father's side, seven of the last eight births are boys.

Names and patriarchy aside, I enjoy the realization that every one of us is at the head of a line of ancestry that goes all the way back to the very beginning, all lines that survived everything!

Lovely weather here - just right!! Sunny and not too hot, with a little breeze playing around. My surname will be around for awhile, I'm thinking. Lots of us, even here where it is a predominately French province and it being such an English name. I guess our males liked to get out and about.

It's always fun to find new relatives. I think 80 is too hot to be in the yard for very long. Do be careful.

Similar situation in my family - but it's not an issue for me. A rose by

any other name... as the saying goes.

Good afternoon

That's great. A name does tend to weaken with girls. Finding new family members can be interesting. The Ancestry website and Facebook have helped with locating hundreds of cousins from all over the world for both John and me. Most of his are in Italy and Spain. Surprisingly, mine didn't gravitate too far from Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I'd love to ond day travel to England, Ireland, and Scotland to connect with the ones that share my DNA.
