Yep. Amazon has been cracking down on people taking a published story, jumbling the words around a bit, cleaning it up, and then republishing it under a new name. I've read where they have taken down over 300,000 titles since they started this crackdown.
In my Vella on grief that you can see here, I've taken quotes and then follow them up with my thoughts. You can write just so many things about grief without hitting a string of words that someone else has used someplace else. It can take up to three days for my grief columns to be approved.

So they now have editor / plagiarism bots on Amazon? I guess it's
something we can expect at some future time - IT bots that will create a whole story, maybe a mystery/true crime thing, or a romance. (sigh) I hope you continue to feel a bit better each day - my son is now recovering from surgery for prostate cancer, and it's one day at a time for him, too.
