Good for you. Its a work in progress to rediscover myself. Finding wins is tough and the negativity defintely takes over sometimes.

So after twenty years of this type of abuse I left, I gave him enough of my money to keep him quiet long enough for me to leave the country and go live half way around the World where I lived a new life. it took all of that for me to really break away. now I am in the USA and he is still alive in Australia, but I broke free, really got away.
