We mostly tend to have geographical distances between families as well and grandparents tend to still both be going to a work situation. When they lived close by, Grandparents taught much about life to their little ones in their care. music, art, family history, good times and bad. I am glad I was still in Australia when some of my Grandchildren were youngsters.

Good afternoon
Your second to the last paragraph says a lot and I totally agree. We are being dumbed down as a nation due to outside influences instead of relying on our own intelligence and teachings.
