Re:
Kabu, I was thinking about this and something isn't adding up. There's no reason for everything to be such a mess.

Re:
FSI, I'm not sure how high the prices will get, but I think something has to give at some point. Soon our gas will be $5 a gallon.

I am wondering just why with the pandemic losing its grip on us how a war in Europe has to make such a mess of our prices. Gas yes I understand that to some extent but locally grown foods etc?

Pat, I love homemade sauce and I do think without the preservatives it's a better choice for all of us. I don't have a chef's hat. haha. I hope you have a good day.

Re:
Ciel, I sent you a message. I think I'm going to make homemade soups too. I love Progresso soups but at $3 that's a bit pricey. I hope you have a good day.

Goodness, your cooking sounds fab. I told my brother that we really should stock the freezers with tomatoes and peppers and then use them.

Good morning
We had a chilly start too. It is now starting to warm up just a bit. Your garden and yard are just beautiful. You guys did a wonderful job on it. We planted four types of tomatoes. My favorite tomatoes are the Romas and John loves the Beefsteaks. We love tomato sandwiches, and like you, I make sauce and salsa. For John, there are never enough tomatoes. He eats them straight from the vine with a dash of salt. I am growing several herbs that I plan to use in my tomato sauce and I plan to make garlic rosemary/parsley/butter potatoes. John loves them with meatloaf and lemon garlic chicken.

One of the primary advantages of your home made tomato sauce, aside
from the delicious flavor, is that you haven't put in any preservatives. Safe and healthy is a fantastic bonus - get out your chef's hat and strut your stuff!

I know what you mean about prices rising. The Progresso soups I prefer have jumped from $2.40 to $3 over the past month. Looks like more home-mades in the future!
I'd also like to meet up with you over on FB!
