In spite of the germs, I enjoy counting money too, FSI. In fact, it worries me that people are depending on plastic cards so much now. With a total power outage, plastic won't get you much. At least if one has cash there is still purchase ability.

There has not been much enthusiasm for money here, some places have just refused it. I hate coins that have green verdigris on them, I often throw them away,

Good morning

Money is not only fascinating, it is the most germ-infested paper in the world. I imagine that it has been everywhere from under a child's pillow to a stripper's g-string. I have heard horror stories that the toll people tell concerning "wet" money that people slap into their hands due to being irritated by the price of driving on the interstates.

Goldiec said what I was going to say.  There is a reason they call money "filthy lucre".

Good Morning

FSI, I never minded counting money until the pandemic came along.  A lot of our stores requested us to use credit so the cashiers would not have to touch money.  Now I'm not sure what could be lingering on money.  I can understand being a business owner and seeing how lucrative your business was for the day or week.
