Kabu, I cannot believe the children have to worry about what might happen to them at school. I hope the schools can find a way to make the buildings safer. I don't see how the powers that be can outlaw guns. I think regulating them is fine and I also like the idea of some sort of training. I hope you have a good day.

Makes one think of the Wild, Wild West. A huge thousand-steps backwards in my opinion. Vacation time seems to fly by. It's wonderful that you both got to leave the routine aside for awhile.

i didn't much enjoy my school years but at least there was only a grumpy teacher to deal with. How hard it must be to go to school not knowing if you will get home again. What is society doing to our kids! I don't believe guns need to be outlawed, just regulated and kept in a gun safe and a licence needed to own one.

While the kids were growing up we lived next door to a retired
carpenter in his late 70s. He recycled old TV sets, separating out the precious metals and turning the consoles into cabinets. He always planted the giant sunflowers along his back fence and at harvest time set the flowers on a screen door that lay across a couple of sawhorses. The air circulation through the screen allowed the flower to dry out and the seeds to be harvested. The problem was beating the squirrels to them.

Good morning
I believe that teachers should be allowed to carry a gun and feel safe. For whatever reason schools have become a real target for terroristic acts. Have fun with your chores. We are pretty much doing the same. John is hanging my pergola lights in preparation for our Father's Day BBQ. We have weed whacking to finish, and I need to stock up on deer, bird, and fur baby food. They do love their treats. Thank goodness for an unexpected three day weekend off for John.
