I wasn't, but more than once had to fight back for my brother, who was very small and quiet as a child. He changed, LOL! I totally agree with this post - if you don't fight back you'll encourage the bullying.

Good Afternoon

I have never been bullied thank goodness but what the kids are faced with today is so hard for them to handle.  At this given time I would like to see the kids homeschooled.  It's a lot safer in my opinion.  After the shooting last week I wanted to call the school and tell them my children would not be back to school.  That was a grandma's feelings though and they were back in school the very next day.  Thankfully school will be over soon for the summer.

Good morning

This is excellent advice. There is one or more in every school. I faced a bully during my first year of high school. I was only 15 and extremely underweight and small. She was an upper-classman who came from the wrong side of the tracks. Fortunately for me, I had several people who helped me to stop her in her tracks by teaching me how to fight back and standing up to her when she planned her next attack. Thankfully, I grew by the tenth grade and I no longer feared fighting back.

My dad in the long-ago times was bullied on the playground by some tough kid. His response was to act out hugely exaggerated fear until everyone was laughing, even the bully.

Most children are not the bullying type and will suffer accordingly. The sad thing is

the bully is sometimes weaker than the one he bullies. I remember a boy saying to

me I have just had a fight with Touser; he is crying, and I have been bullied by him

since Junior class.
