I love geraniums!  I know your plants are beautiful.  We had a wonderful day.  It was nice to go out with friends.

Re:

C_C_T, I think having a greenhouse is the way to go when you have tender plants.  I really want to get one but I'm not sure if we can find one we like.

Re: Good morning

Sassy, it was a really nice day.  I hope we can find the large sunflower seeds.  They always look good along the back fence of the garden.  The meatloaf was delicious.  Roy ate every bit of what I brought home.

Re: Speaking of tomatoes & veggies...

Pat, I love recipes like this!  It sounds so good.  There's no way you could go wrong with vegetables, rice, and hummus along with lentils.  I think it's nutritious too.

I put my geraniums in pots out yesterday. They are a Mediteranian climate plant so should be fine from now on.The rain did them good last night I can see. Have a lovely day with your friends.

My pepper and tomato plants are still quite small we are wary of ground frosts until June. O.K. in the tunnels but I like the tender plants to grow in the greenhouse.

That'd be wonderful spending time with your neighbor.

Re: Pat_B, that sounds absolutely delish!

Using the hummus as a thickener is smart, and it is also a healthy additive. Yum!

Good morning

You have a nice headstart with your pepper and tomato plants. I have sunflower seeds growing on my south-facing windowsill. Hopefully, they will do well so that I can transplant them to the yard. The yellow birds love them. Meatloaf is always a good meal. It goes well with so many things. It's great that you can take Roy and Michelle a meatloaf meal as well. It sounds like a fun day ahead for you. Enjoy!

Speaking of tomatoes & veggies...

I had a package of store-made pico de gallo (chopped onion, tomato, peppers, etc) that was getting to use-it-or-lose-it stage. Decided to create a soup with it. Fired up the small crockpot, added 3 cups of water, half a cup of rice, a quarter cup of lentils, and added the veggies after the dried veggies were nearly done. Then I added a carton of hummus as it was just about ready to serve. The hummus thickened the soup and added that luscious bean protein to the mix.  It smelled great, tasted good too.
