No, there is not. The nickel metal that makes them comes from Russia, which means during the war the metal price is going up.

Once here folks were collecting silver three penny coins. We used to put them in Christmas puddings as a treat.

Good morning
I don't know if I would call it hoarding, but I have several piggy banks filled with quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. We cash them out every year to use towards a vacation. Just this past year we cashed in over $400.00 in coins.

FSI, I had no idea people were hoarding nickels. Thank goodness it won't affect your business. As I've said many times before the world is changing so fast that I can't keep up. Tomorrow it will be something else.
