It will be a relief when you get the roof sorted I have never seen a metal roof on a house. Asbestos tiles were used once but no longer, once tiles on older houses were made from split stone, much too expensive these days of course.

Pat, I'm hoping by some miracle the war comes to an end but when I see the destruction I just can't imagine how the people can go home again.

I am with you - tired (and scared) about the war news.
Just when we thought it couldn't be any more upsetting after 2 years of the Covid isolation and confusion and depression... Reminds me of that sick joke someone told me that has never faded from memory: As I sat there on the curb, feeling all alone and blue an old drinking buddy came by. "Cheer up," he said. "Things could be worse." So I cheered up and sure enough, things got worse.

Good afternoon
French fries with cheesy jalapeno sounds delicious and so does a burger. I will have to remember to make burgers this week. We are finally catching up with our oldest daughter today and treating her to that Mexican fiesta that I spoke about. We had to wait for John to have a day off so that he could celebrate her special day as well. It is a warm day, but a wet one. I plan to bring my fairies out soon and situate them around the yard. For now, I have other chores to contend with. Have a great day!
