There are a lot of home-schooled and home-schooling children amongst my family and friends.   I do not look for any of them to change that when Covid is over (if it ever is).

This will be one to watch. When you have a classroom of first-graders with some sucking on their masks and others using them as weapons like slingshots, while one kid is crying because s/he doesn't know what to do about the light color of his/her skin and there are five kids isolated in a corner of that classroom because they have been exposed to Covid - it's time to take a good, hard look at the whole system.

I think it will slowly return more or less to something below normal, some kids like being with their own peer group.

Good morning

Good question. My grandkids are enrolled in the public school system, but I believe that many children are home-schooled. The problem with that is working mothers who cannot afford to be home for this process of learning. Outrageous prices including rent increases have guaranteed that two incomes are necessary these days.

Good Morning

FSI, when the COVID numbers were so high I was glad the kids were home.  Now that things are getting a little bit back to normal I have two different thoughts on homeschooling.  The first one is that I really like it and I think some children will benefit more from this type of learning than regular classroom education.  Then there is my other thought on homeschooling.  Two of my children would have loved to learn from home but my one son loved being with his friends and he excelled at school and sports.  I think the children that really enjoy the school experience have every right to attend school and should be given that option.  I hope the schools offer a choice for the families in this unchartered land that we live in now.  I think my comment is too long again! haha
