Once I had an Aunt the electricity was installed, but she would only use candles.
Of course, they were only the white ordinary ones. We had a travelling shop and sold
packets of thirty-six. They were used in the villages where electricity had not been
installed. I had not thought of that for years.

Re: Yes! My favorites are my Woodwick Yankee candles. They burn forever.
They also make crackling noises like a fire burning in the background.

Good afternoon
I have candles and wax warmers in every room of our house. I love the scent and the warming feeling that they give off. Our snow is melting and my walkway is finally safe to walk down. I hope that it continues throughout the week. I also made sausage, but mine was leftover patties from Thursday morning's breakfast. Today, I made breakfast bowls with the addition of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and cheese.

I may have a candle somewhere, in case of a power outage. But
where did I put the matches? Fingers crossed, with it being only 4 degrees this morning, that no trees fall across power lines and shut down the power here. Yikes.
