You probably could get Carers allowance if Mum cannot manage on her own. It has been a bad run recently, it is a job to judge the Market. Although it does go up over time, well usually.

Could you work from home as many people I know are now doing. or comprimise and work two days a week say for 6 months instead of the three month work schedule?
