Re: Pat
I used to walk up and down, but we have not got long enough to do so really and I did not want the keep climbing the stairs to include the exercise. I make sure I hold the handles. I must count how many steps I do in ten minutes that is enough for me.

Re:
Yes, it does need room, I can visualize Wiley and Graysome. They were good to each other. Be happy.

Re: adnohr
Amazing how many have had the experience. Perhaps I am rather late in needing one. I am glad there is a handle to hold on to.

Yes! I have one - put some music on and rock and roll! Great poem, by the way! Only you could put a treadmill into perspective like that, Hahaha!

Wiley and I had a big heavy one in the basement for some years and we did use it. Even Graysome would walk on it if put on slow, especially he would walk behind Wiley and they looked so cute. Lovely memories. Thank you for reminding me.

Good afternoon
We had a treadmill. They are so big and heavy, and they require some form of dedication that I am just unwilling to commit to. They do make a wonderful catch-all and they are great for hanging clothes.

I had one once. a treadmill. It was one recommended by Opra Winfrey when she was still having her daily show and I saw on her program Jane Fonda working out on it and she looked so good I thought I might turn me into a beauty using it. I've moved twice since I got it and somewhere along the way I lost it, on purpose.

I've thought of getting a treadmill so I could get in a walk even on days
when it rains or there's ice underfoot. But if I open certain doors in the house I can walk a circle from front to back and around again, counting the steps until I get in 300 or just walking for 15 minutes. So I opted not to get the treadmill, and my younger daughter said that was wise. I could slip and fall on the treadmill. She worries.
