Re:

FSI, I think your temperatures are close to ours.  I wish you could see all the leaves that have fallen on the ground.  It seems like more than ever before.

Re:

adnohr, I think at our house Roy has the green thumb.  It's hard to tell what would happen to our plants if I was in charge.  I do love hanging baskets and I'm sure your plants are beautiful.  Every time I see a beautiful flower I think that God put them here for us to enjoy.  I love that thought.

We've started off with a warm October as well. I guess this is disjointing the pumpkin spice latte crowd.

Goldiec I saw one large grey squirrel today it was running around scratching and burying different things. The first I have seen for a year. The walnut trees have a lot of empty shells due I think, to the dry summer. I cannot think what else it was searching for but it was jumping all over.

Goldiec, I have two  friends who came here and put hanging baskets all along my gallery with pretty flowers, all colours, and it is amazing how much they bring up my morale. A joy to gaze at. Oh, and then Kabu who stopped off before her move and donated some amazing plants. Believe it or not, those flowers and plants are still alive! (If you knew me, you would be amazed about this!)

Re: Re: Re: Lol, I would have been in trouble!

Sassy, I'm very surprised that Rocky listened to John.  He must have used a very forceful voice.  I'm not sure what I would have done but I don't think it would have been good.  It's a good thing John had food in front of him.

Rocky is a great name for a raccoon, but isn't there also a famous

flying squirrel with that name?  I'm thinking it's one thing for Rocky to approach in search of a better dinner entree, but if Bullwinkle shows up, look out!

Re: Re: Lol, I would have been in trouble!

John didn't tell me about it until after he scolded Rocky by telling him no. I would have had a heart attack because I would not have been prepared for his visit. He luckily had food in front of him that he threw in the yard that Rocky went after.

Re: Good morning

Sassy, Oh my goodness!  Rocky would have been in big trouble if he went into the house.  The thought of that is too much for me.  I'm sure John's patty melt smelled better than any hot dog.  I'm glad your kids are coming over.  I hope that you do get a chance to eat outside.

Good morning

I love hanging plants. They brighten up a porch and yard with their lovely colors. Our squirrels are still hanging around. Last night one of our raccoons attempted to walk straight into the house. John was sitting at the picnic table when the cute little family of three walked to the food that we left out for them, but Rocky wanted some of John's dinner that he could smell wafting through the yard. I guess that patty melts beat hot dogs. It is hot here today. The kids are coming over for dinner. If the sky doesn't open up later, we plan to eat outdoors. Hope you have a great day!
