Good afternoon
Thicker trousers wouldn't have helped against the brutal snap of a cane. Those trousers needed the aid of the dressmaker to attach a pillow that could be tucked in the rear end of the britches.

Good Afternoon
I cannot imagine the pain felt when someone intercepts a love note. It is not a good scenario. Some would think it was funny but not the person who wrote the note.
