Re:

Bottked water has its advantages, that is. if it’s spring water. Thank you.

Dear Aba Bro, you know the feeling of drinking it then..

Yes, the plumber said the same thing regarding safety. It is commonly used for watering public areas here. It’s unsettling to think about drinking it since other water sources are available, and there is a desalination plant down in San Diego. It’s fine but not appealing. Thank you.

Re:

I’m glad. That works well. The best tap water I ever had was the in city of San Francisco.

Pat - Thank you.

California's drinking water comes from the snowpack of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Colorado River. Where I live is the exception and paying to drink recycled poo water when there is other water available for the rest of the state doesn’t sit well with me. Maybe it’s just me...

Re: Annicita - Thank you. That fact doesn’t make it more appealing.

There are certainly other places on earth that employ such means to assure an adequate water supply, such as Anib said is the case in India. However, since nearly all of California’s drinking water is obtained from the Sierra snowpack and the Colorado River, it is not unreasonable to consider the allocation of funding be applied to includie my area‘s water also be from that source rather than have me pay to drink cleaned up poo water. It is inherently sickening, perhaps only to me, especially since other water is available.

I don't think California is the only place!

Dear Sis, Sea

It's perfectly healthy to drink recycled sewer water. This I realized when I visited Osho's ashram in Poona. He had 16 acres of land on either side of the road - fantastic beauty and peaceful, all the vegetation grown there are on recycled water. The fountain I drank from was for me the sweetest ever I'd drunk in my life. You know what water that fountain was ! ! !

Good Morning

Sea Gypsy, I did some research and it turns out our water is from Lake Erie.  I'm not sure that's the best plan in the world but I think it's the only plan we've got at this point.  They did say Denmark has the best drinking water.

When we had our drought in 1999 in Maryland, there was talk of doing that, but it never came to fruition. I imagine bottled water sales will go up.

Good Morning

Sea Gypsy, I have no idea where our water comes from but I'm going to research this.  To me, this is not acceptable but the powers that be will do whatever they want to.

Recycled waste water may be all that is available as the worst ever

drought continues to dry up natural water sources. Not many Americans live near a crystal clear glacial stream that comes from a melting snow pack.

I suppose it is better to always boil water, I think we are or think we are nearer the source before it is who knows what.
