Good afternoon
Being in and from a military family, I find this poem to be profound. Thank you for sharing it. losing your life during a battle is a horrible way to die. War is ugly and senseless, and he has detailed that well as only a good poet can do.

What strikes me about this is the loneliness of war. They're in battle together, yet they will be forgotten and not memorialized by those who remain.
