Re: C C T

His peers were Shelley, Byron. All were brilliant, and died early. Keats at the age of 25, Shelley, at 29, and Byron in 1824 when he was 36 years old. It is indeed sad. Had they lived we would have been the richer in literature. Thank you Sir .

Re: Dear Aba Brother

Keats' St. Agnes is the only poetry he has written in a dramatic style with Gothic elements. During his time, women of the pre and Victorian times loved to read novels - with settings in a castle, their ornamentation details, mystery and suspense, an ancient prophecy coming true, feudal fracas, nurder, women in distress, supernatural elements and the like. I love your comments in analysis, dear Sis.

Such a pity he died at such an early age.  I think many brilliant poems would have been constructed as he did have to compete with his peers.

A happy ending is a great achievement for love...the era, society, customs, values etc all leave a mark on a story and Keats was a master.

Dear Aba Brother

Keats had to have been a very sensitive soul, and the times in which he lived were perfect for him to express his feelings and thoughts through his work. I just read of a family feud that lasted in the courts for 20 years (true story). Thank you once again. I thoroughly enjoyed your post. Mesmerizing and well told.

Really whimsical. I'll come back later, as always.

Good afternoon

Love, passion, a colorful storyline, and the endings of family feuds is all the more reason to give a thumb's up to this story.
