This was interesting.
My great-grandmother wore an apron. She was photographed wearing it in a few pictures, so I have to assume that she was in the kitchen much of the day.

So many photos in the old albums of Grandma Lucy Amanda in
her "aporn" as she called it. She only took it off to go to town, or church.
