Praying can be a meditative state, too. 

Everything we do is energy, and different energies have different effects. When I send prayers for someone, I send a blessing of golden energy like sunlight, or I direct the energy to be appropriate for the healing and well-being of the person I'm praying for.

Yes, it does help with jitters of all sorts! And if without doesn't provide a quiet environment, meditation is a way of creating one within. 

It's been documented that observing a fish tank literally puts the mind in a lucid meditative brain-wave state. That's how easy it can be!

Good Evening

Ciel, I truly admire your ability to Meditate.  I've never meditated but I do say my prayers in the morning and again at night.  I keep a list in my mind of who needs prayers and I pray for them.  I pray for my family and for myself.

I have never personally attempted meditation, but I have heard that it can control anxiety and reduces stress. A quiet environment in itself would be a blessing.
