Good Evening

I love trees.  I find them to be so beautiful.  When I was little and we used to go into the mountains to visit family there was a big old willow tree.  I've never forgotten it.

Just listened to a feature story on NPR about how trees communicate

with one another through their root systems using microscopic fungi - scientists have traced communications using radioactive trace elements. It turns out the old growth trees that remain after logging or fires nurture and share nutrients with saplings, etc. It was a mind-blowing experiment involving the university in British Columbia.
