We are related to the Merlot's, but it is their surname. Unfortunately, the kids at school will probably pronounce it like, "Mer lot."

My sis met her sailor this way and at this time.
He was gone a few weeks after the wedding and got back nearly 3 years later. They were married nearly 70 years.
