This is part of a long and ongoing conversation that needs to be had by a lot of people in a non-combative setting. I am partly of Latin-based origin linguistically. If I were to say I was a Latina, by today's standards I would be incorrectly identifying myself, as I am not Hispanic. One hundred years ago I would have been consdered to be of a more inferior "race" than any other in the US, by the standards of the time. No race or ethnicity should consider itself superior to another, nor should any race or ethnicity or combination thereof be considered inferior to another. One can be of any ethnicity and be elitist, racist, entitled, self-enabling, arrogant or pretentious - or not. It's all about proper education, I think.

An excellent point. I have wondered where the "white" thing came from as far as being the dominant race. Thank you for the education.

Re: Kabu,

I think that is part of human nature--the fearing part, the part that centers in the body. We have such a challenge, learning to balance these bodies we have, with the spirits that we are!

Arrogance and handed down from one generation to the next. Besides it appears some humans must have someone they can feel superior over.
