BC-A, Thank you!  I do like to bake for others.

Re:

Sea Gypsy, Roy said we should buy a regular cake pan until we can find the pampered chef one.  At this point, I don't have a cake pan to make cakes.  I think he might be right.

A shame about the bakeware but those kind do break. My daughter had one that broke. I love mine but it is a lasagna pan. I hope you find a nice new one. The memories will remain long after the baking dishes have gone.

Re:

Annicita, she tossed the baking dish but it was very heavy so I don't think I could hang it on a wall.  Thanks for the idea though.

Re: The baking dish served a wonderful purpose for a long time, and is

Pat, I do believe you are right.  All the children loved that baking dish and having Grandma make whatever flavor cake they picked for their special day.  It is such a wonderful memory and I know they will never forget it.  It's funny how something as simple as a pampered chef's stone baking dish could become so important to a family. Years ago when I had the pampered chef party and purchased that baking dish I had no idea what it would mean to our family.

Re: Good afternoon.

Sassy, it's quiet here today.

Maybe if she hasn't thrown it out, you could glue it back together and use is as a catch all for cookie cutters or a decorative wall hanging etc.

The baking dish served a wonderful purpose for a long time, and is

part of your family's story. Even if she can't find a replacement, the real story is the love that went into the birthday observations and that's as strong as ever.

That is wonderful that she cares enough to locate a new one. Those ceramic baking dishes can be fickle. My friend Nikki sells Pampered Chef items. I bought a whisk from her that I just love. In other news, it is pouring down raining here too, but it is warm, so I will take what I can get. have a great day!
