Salt is a worry, I don't think we have had a salted road this year.

They're good cars though.

excellent reasoning here. it is a good thing to just start the Volvo and run the engine for a few minutes about once a week, or so someone told me last year.

Good Morning
FSI, I prefer driving the truck but in the winter months, the car stays in the garage. Our winters are very hard on vehicles. When it warms up it will be nice to drive the Volvo.

Exactly. We used to own a Volvo. It did not drive well in the snow. A 4x4 truck navigates through questionable conditions so much easier. The salted roads here in Pennsylvania obliterate the exterior of a car in just about 5 years, so buying a new car is a real consideration unless you regularly get it undercoated. My hubby drives the truck while I prefer the car. I just make sure to spray off the excess road goop regularly. Luckily, we not only have several local car washes, but we have a garden hose to take care of winter's nasty business.
