Kabu, I really do believe your Gnomes are better behaved than mine. Once I found out from you that they were drinking and I started observing them I couldn't believe the things that they were trying to get away with. I'm thinking I may still have to send a few of them to you this year. I don't think my little fairies can handle another spring with them. I'm especially worried about Mighty McV because he arrived after the other Gnomes had gone to sleep for the winter. They won't even know who he is. I have a feeling they won't care if he's a distant cousin. They are very territorial.

Pat, -16 degrees is so cold! I'm sorry you lost your power but I simply must say your son is a gem to come over and shovel in the freezing cold and pick you up and take you back to his house. Dear friend, stay warm and safe.

for sure do not let anyone pay them for work in whiskey or home made Hooch. My Gnomes make wild barley beer and Hooch every fall and they are a mess for several weeks.

Chill factor here was -16, strong winds, heavy snow. And then the power
went out. This was yesterday, not a scene from a new story... Came back on about 4 hours later, after my son had come by, shoveled his way in and took me to his place until we got the word it was on again.

My gnomes are still tucked away in the carton out in the shed. I cannot wait to let them out in about two months. The fresh air will do them good.
