Many people still use boats to get to work around these parts. I mean, if you are surrounded by water, might as well enjoy it.

Re: Great question, Goldiec. I am sure that they did.
I am thinking that two full-time teachers probably had alternate transportation, but during the warmer months, they took the more scenic route by boat.

My only concern was when the weather was bad. I wonder if they called a snow day?
