Those Aussie accents are quite adorable.

That is a big part of who you are. never lose that. It is most endearing.

Well I suppose one has to adapt. I am glad that you feel better. How is the story coming on?  Perhaps you might get the Fairy to write one. I expect you have a bigger wand than she has.

I'm surprised there were people who could not understand you with your Austrailian accent. I've never had trouble with any English speaking person's accent.

Kabu

The weather doesn't discern accents. It's cold to all. Keep warm.

I used to get out in all kinds of weather, and it was cold, but these

days there's a chill in my bones even when it's 72 or 73 degrees here in the house. I walk around in a heavy sweater, pull a little blanket over me when I sit to crochet. I just restocked my yarn inventory with a variety of colors - even though there's not a smidgen of room in my storage totes. I need to take a few dozen caps up to the food pantry where they often supply winter coats & hats to their food clients. Those volunteers know all the shelters in the area that can use the donations. But my fingers need to be busy with hook and thread so I won't be stuffing my face with food.  It sounds like you've adapted to your environment - lucky to have a fairy around.

Kabu, as cold as it is I'm not surprised that your winter fairy likes to sleep under the warm covers.  You were so kind to give her a warm bed and I know she loves you for it. It's just too cold there for me.  I love the way you describe the ice and the snow outside.  I know it is beautiful.  It's been so cold here but nowhere near how cold you have it.  We've been keeping the fireplace on and the furnace running and it keeps us toasty warm inside.  My gnomes are still sound asleep but I think as soon as it warms up they have an inner alarm to alert them to wake up.  It has been peaceful here with them asleep.  I've noticed my fairies are sleeping a lot more during the really cold days.  My little Penelope likes to sit by the fire and read on a quiet night.  Everybody else is sound asleep in their little houses.
