I felt bad that Mr. Mittens was hit by the snowball. It must have hurt with the batteries in them.

The second that I read that Mr. Mittens has a monotone voice, and Anne giving him the hairy eyed look, I thought of that "dry eye commercial that featured, Ben Stein.
